Postponing the 2020 Irvington Home Tour

As Oregonians continue to shelter in place, and observe social and physical distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the May 17, 2020 Irvington Home Tour.
The tour is a cherished Portland event and an important fundraiser for local schools and Northeast Portland non-profits.
Members of the home tour and the Irvington Community Association are committed to our community and are actively working on additional projects that will support our Charitable Giving Fund, . We're also working together to make informed decisions on a future date for the tour.

Thank you for your support of the Irvington Home Tour and the Irvington Community Association's Charitable Giving program. As details become available, we will post them at here.

About

The Irvington neighborhood is located in the northeast section of Portland, Oregon. The neighborhood traces its history to the William and Elizabeth Irving Donation Land Claim of 1851 as well as several small adjoining subdivisions.  The neighborhood streets were laid out in 1887, and residential lots began selling in 1891.

An early example of a streetcar suburb, Irvington contains the largest, most diverse, and intact collections of Queen Anne, Arts and Crafts, and Colonial Revival style residences in the City of Portland as well as the State of Oregon. In 2010, Irvington was designated an historic district and added to the National Register of Historic Places.

In 1966, a group of neighbors formed the Irvington Community Association (ICA). Today, the ICA continues to play an important role in promoting and preserving one of Portland's most vibrant and livable neighborhoods. From street tree inventories to land use meetings to clean-up days to the Irvington Home Tour - it's all your neighborhood. Get involved!

Home Tour

Each year, the Irvington Home Tour is held on the third Sunday of May - rain or shine. The tour is the longest continuously running neighborhood home tour in Portland. Visit the Home Tour site for information, photos, and tickets. Proceeds from the Home Tour support the neighborhood charitable giving program.
